Hello! I’m Accalia (ah-kay-lee-ah), an English Student at Royal Holloway, University of London graduating in May 2022 with a continuing curiosity for storytelling in different formats. I’m the Opinion Editor of the student magazine and love delving into research on current affairs & politics among other topics. The world is reopening its shops, pubs and other gathering spaces again and with them a moment in time comes to a close. With this in mind, I have been releasing a poem a day, each one my responses to the times as they unfolded- beginning back to March as lockdown was about to begin to the present moments of anger and injustice.

- Reading In Lockdown: 5 hopeful books. Reading is often used to console during times of crisis to escape and to envision a time that will be better. These are my top five – what are yours to keep you entertained and hopeful during lockdown?
- Film Reviews… the most recent film I saw at the cinema was ‘The True History of the Kelly Gang’ directed by Justin Kerzel. It was a really unique film that makes you aware of its fictitious nature – read more here. Out 22nd June to watch at home!
